One of the many perks of living in or near Chicago is the proximity to live music. With the United Center, Wrigley Field, and smaller venues like Thalia Hall, the opportunity to see your favorite artists live are limitless. If you’re looking for a concert to go to in 2023, this article is your start.

On March 18, you can see Joshua Bassett (you might know him as Olivia Rodrigo’s ex) at the House of Blues. While not as famous as HSMTMTS costar Olivia, his new album’s release has been a major milestone for the musician. Most general admission tickets cost about 100 dollars. Later on May 17, see Lizzo at the United Center! Truth hurts, but you will have to pay around 100 dollars for a ticket.

Once finals are over, treat yourself to Morgan Wallen tickets! Morgan is coming to Wrigley Field June 22 and 23. The One Night At A Time World Tour is sure to sample some of his newest releases from the One Thing At A Time Sampler and music from his ever popular Dangerous: The Double Album. No matter how you feel about country music, you have to admit “7 Summers” is never a skip. Also in June is Taylor Swift. If you don’t have your tickets, you’re too late. Or you can sue Ticketmaster. The latter might be easier.

Can’t get to a concert in June? July won’t disappoint! Thomas Wrett is coming to the United Center on the 28th on the Home Team Tour. Tickets run for around 40 dollars. Also, Zac Brown Band and Luke Bryan will appear at the Windy City Smokeout, a country music fest. Tickets are much more expensive than the other concerts mentioned because you need a day pass to the festival. However, it’s something you can do all day with your friends and or family (if you want to bring your little siblings, kids 10 and under are free). Many artists will be performing, but Luke Bryan is Saturday’s headliner and Zac Brown Band is Sunday. The festival runs from the 13th to the 16th. Not interested in BBQ and Bryan? Ed Sheeran comes to Soldier Field on the 29th for his Mathematics Tour. Tickets are around 60 to 70 dollars.

The best people can appreciate all genres of music, so right after Thomas Wrett, get back to the United Center to see Arctic Monkeys on August 27. Tickets are high 100s, maybe 200, but at least they aren’t 505! Sam Smith comes for GLORIA the tour on the 15th of August. Following his recent hit “Unholy” the United Center is sure to be packed. Act fast, since it’s far out, and tickets are as low as 60 and 70 dollars right now. Finally, of course, like every year, Lollapalooza will be the place to be this August. The lineup has been posted, including big names like Dua Lipa, Girl in Red, Willow, Glass Animals, Green Day, Måneskin, Machine Gun Kelly, Don Toliver, Wallows, and some of my favorites, PinkPantheress, Gracie Abrams, Remi Wolf and the Kid Laroi and so many more!
