On Friday, September 13, the Class of 2028 made its debut in style with the freshman mixer turning Tully Hall into a party zone. The afternoon kicked off with a live DJ playing hip hop’s greatest artists like Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, Drake, and many others.
Outside of Tully, the excitement continued with games of cornhole and Spikeball. Various teams formed, diving into friendly competition all while making new friends. The outdoor space buzzed with cheers and smiles, as students bonded over these classic lawn games in a perfect blend of fun and chill vibes.
The hours in the sun, having fun worked up an appetite. Students flooded towards the pizza station. A long line stretched across Tully as both freshmen and Arrupe Mentors grabbed a slice to refuel. The pizza was served in a quick fashion and before long all of it was devoured by the avid dancers and backyard athletes
By 5:30 p.m., the mixer came to an end, but the night was far from over. Freshmen, still energized by the day’s activities, made their way to Fornelli Field to cheer on the Wolfpack for Friday night football.
In their highly anticipated match against ICCP, freshmen excitement only grew louder when the Wolfpack dominated the field securing a 34-14 victory. With the crowd roaring and school spirit at an all-time high, the win was the perfect way to end an already electric night.
The Freshman Mixer was more than just a fun afternoon— it marked the start of a thrilling year for the Class of 2028!
