The girls Field Hockey team is practicing hard and ready for a great season. The Pack is hoping to continue the momentum built from last season’s Elite Eight finish and with a strong mix of returning seniors, like Kingsley Goldman and Malena Batisteza, and some promising underclassmen the team is prime for a strong season.
In their scrimmage against Latin, the Wolfpack proved their team has potential for a successful season, tying the field hockey powerhouse 2-2.
Sophomore Genevieve Heidkamp and freshman Olive Norby scored goals in the match, proving underclassmen are ready to step up in big moments.
Coaches and teammates alike have praised the team’s work ethic, intensity, and positive attitude.
Senior Isabella Kozlowski said, “Throughout our practices, Coach Megan says we have stayed focused and given our full effort, setting us up for a great season”.
The Wolfpack have been working hard all week with practices six days a week.
In addition to field work, the team has been working on their chemistry. From their tournament in Saint Louis to their almost weekly team dinners, this team is bonding off the field in hopes this produces better chemistry during games.
“I can feel the team’s bond growing more every day,” said Senior Emmy Blase.
With the seventeen strong seniors, the team has great leaders and a goal in mind. “I am so excited to start the season with all my fellow seniors and see what legacy will leave for future teams,” said senior Fallon Urquhart
