Seniors Dominate Juniors in Annual Power Pack Flag Football Game
On Wednesday, October 2nd, the much-anticipated Power Pack flag football game between the senior and junior girls took place on Fornelli Field. With school spirit at an all-time high and a crowd full of enthusiastic supporters, the seniors claimed victory against the juniors with a final score of 42-21.
Before the game, the seniors were beaming with confidence and excitement. “We’re going to win,” one player said boldly. Other players described feeling “hyped” and “amazing” as energy surged through the air. Senior coaches rallied their teams, saying, “We’re ready to take the field!” It was clear that the seniors were determined to leave their final mark at Power Pack.
The boys from both the senior and junior classes played vital roles as coaches to the girls. They offered strategies and encouragement to everyone nearby. One senior coach said, “You know, if it wasn’t for the win, I would still do it because of the love of the game.” The passion for the sport was evident on both sides, though seniors secured their win using teamwork and well-executed plays.
The juniors, though defeated, fought with heart. They showed resilience until the very last second. Their efforts, guided by junior coaches, kept the game competitive and intense. Despite this, the seniors’ experience and energy led to a well-earned victory.
With the win, the seniors continued the Power Pack tradition and set the stage for the juniors to dominate as they attempt next year. The event, once again, successfully brought the entire Saint Ignatius community together, celebrating the spirit of competition and paving the way for an exciting Homecoming weekend.
